​Light Years School have worked alongside the Hampshire Services Maths Advisory Team to develop our aspirational, multi-sensory maths curriculum. Our curriculum is very well sequenced and is adapted to support the needs of all our learners. 

As part of our investment in this programme, Light Years has access to a huge wealth of evidence-based, forward-thinking maths resources and guidance. 

Below you will find resources produced to support parents/ carers to understand the mathematical models and language we use at Light Years and also shares some practical guidance to how you can best support your child at home.

Reading 

At Light Years School, we recognise that reading is essential for our children to be able to access our aspirational curriculum. Reading is fundamental to education (Reading Framework, 2023). Please listen to our Assistant Headteacher and Reading leader, Emily, share how we support reading at Light Years and promote a reading culture across our school.​
