Welcome to Light Years School. We are a brand-new specialist provision located in Fareham, Hampshire.

Following a successful registration Ofsted inspection, Light Years School opened its doors to our first cohort in September 2023, providing education for pupils aged 7 – 11 years old (Year 3 to Year 6) with a range of special educational needs.

​I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children's well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care.

Our school’s values and vision are embodied by our school motto; ‘start small grow tall’, this symbolises a child’s growth and development through their individual learning journey at Light Years School. 
 

We have developed a curriculum that is ambitious, exciting and engaging and is shaped by shared values that all pupils have a right to experience education in a safe and caring environment. We believe passionately that when children are placed in an environment that nurtures confidence, self-esteem and has high expectations of learning, they begin to flourish. We know that with the right support at the right time, pupils will thrive in school and be ready for the next stage of their education.
