Inclusion Pathway

The Inclusion Pathway is a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting children who are facing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Our primary goal is to facilitate their successful reintegration into an educational environment, ensuring that they receive the appropriate support tailored to their individual needs. We collaborate closely with the Local Authority to identify and secure a suitable bespoke package for children with recognised EBSA, as well as for those struggling to attend school due to their special educational needs.

Our comprehensive offer includes Light Years School staff providing a safe and nurturing environment for learning and emotional and wellbeing support. Each child benefits from a bespoke support package designed to significantly enhance engagement and attendance within an educational setting. This package is complemented by a carefully crafted and thought out curriculum that utilises a variety of delivery approaches, with a robust focus on personal development in tandem with academic progress.

For all children on the Inclusion Pathway we ensure that all safeguarding practices and procedures are followed fully supporting each child and their family whilst we maintain the highest standards of care and oversight.

When a child joins the Inclusion Pathway baseline assessments and ongoing assessments inform outcome-driven programmes, alongside their EHCP outcomes ensuring we meticulously track each learner's progress through evidence-based practices.

By fostering a supportive and inclusive educational pathway, we endeavour to empower children to thrive academically and personally.
